Raisins SA: Official Crop Forecast for 2024/25

Dear Industry Stakeholders,

As we approach the harvesting season in the Southern Hemisphere, we are pleased to share our crop forecast for the 2024/25 season. The early harvest will commence in January 2025, with peak volume intake at processors expected in March, tapering off in April 2025. Our vineyards are in excellent condition, showcasing a promising crop. Despite some temperature variability during the spring, conditions have stabilized, and the outlook for a successful harvest is positive.

For the 2023/24 season, our farmer's stock was 96,000 tons. From January 2024 to October 2024, exports reached 71,000 tons. Consequently, we anticipate minimal to no carry-over stock into the next marketing season. The official farmer stock forecast for Raisins SA is estimated at 104,000 tons for the 2024/25 crop, providing a marketable crop of 93,000 tons for the upcoming season.

This forecast assumes favorable weather conditions during the harvest and drying period from January to April. Raisins SA will continue to provide regular crop updates as volume intake begins in the new year.

Thank you for your continued support.
